How to Check Active Directory (AD) replication

반응형

There are several ways to check the status of Active Directory (AD) replication:

1.    Using the Repadmin tool: The Repadmin tool is a command-line tool that you can use to monitor and troubleshoot AD replication. To check the replication status, you can run the following command:

       repadmin /replsummary

This command displays a summary of the replication status for all domains in your forest.

2.    Using the Active Directory Sites and Services snap-in: The Active Directory Sites and Services snap-in is a graphical tool that you can use to manage AD replication. To check the replication status, you can follow these steps:

·Open the Active Directory Sites and Services snap-in.

·Expand the Sites container and locate the site where your domain controllers are located.

·Expand the site, and then expand the Servers container.

·Right-click on the domain controller that you want to check, and select Replicate Now.

·In the Replicate Now dialog box, select the destination domain controller and click OK.

·In the results window, check the status of the replication operation to see if it was successful or if there were any errors.

3.    Using the Microsoft Azure AD Connect Health: Microsoft Azure AD Connect Health is a service that you can use to monitor the health of your AD environment. You can use it to monitor the replication status of your on-premises AD and Azure AD. To check the replication status, you can log into the Azure AD Connect Health portal and view the replication dashboard.

These are some of the ways to check the status of AD replication. By monitoring the replication status, you can ensure that your AD environment is healthy and that changes made on one domain controller are correctly replicated to all other domain controllers.
